Exmouth United Girls U12 secured a comfortable win, advancing further in the County Cup.

The team triumphed 3-0 over Torquay United Girls U12 in the second round of the competition.

Having already defeated Torquay 2-0 in a league match the previous week, Exmouth Utd travelled to Torbay, eager to replicate their success in the cup.

The game started with Exmouth Utd exhibiting their energetic, pressing style, putting immediate pressure on Torquay's defence.

This strategy bore fruit early on as Molly Lowe's run down the wing won Exmouth a corner.

Lowe took the corner quickly, setting up Amelia Petherick to volley the ball into the net from close range.

Throughout the first half, Exmouth Utd maintained their dominance, preventing Torquay from registering a single shot on goal.

The combined efforts of Emma Ward and Molly Lowe on the wings proved challenging for Torquay to handle.

The central midfielders, Hannah Gayler and Amelia Petherick, provided excellent passes, allowing Ward, Poppy Osborne, and Lowe to continuously threaten the home team's goalkeeper.

The first half concluded with Exmouth Utd adding two more goals to their tally.

Molly Lowe scored from outside the box, followed by a neat finish from Gayler under pressure from 10 yards out.

Starting the second half, Exmouth Utd altered their formation, with Eliza Higham and Kitty Rawlings taking up central midfield positions.

Higham provided quick forward passes, while Rawlings tackled effectively.

Exmouth's goalkeeper, Florence Gibson, was called into action later in the second half, making a few excellent saves, including a fingertip save to push an awkward shot over the bar.

The Exmouth defence, comprising Lydia Empson, Edie Hill, and Pearl Dowling, remained solid throughout, earning praise for their performance.

Player of the match was awarded to Exmouth's keeper, Florence Gibson, for her crucial saves and overall performance.

The team now looks forward to the next round, carrying with them their winning momentum.
